Work, life and things in between – Day 112 – Celebrations!
I was heading back to the Island and on campus, to complete my Executive coaching program, once again, and for the last time, the cohortwould get together. We had finally completed the curriculum.
Even though you sometimes think you will never get there, everything comes to an end. Sometimes happily, other times, sadly. I was looking forward to seeing some friends. Truth be told though, I was mostly eager to move on. “Cut me lose and let me go” was my frame of mind.
“When I leave this place in a week, Tem will be waiting for me in Sooke and we will have ourselves a wonderful vacation.” That is what was on my mind.
So we came to the end of the week: Pictures on the front lawn, promises to write, quick hugs, and off I went. It was summer, it was a gorgeous day, I had just graduated and was on my way. In the air was a sense of completion and celebrations. A first in a long time.
By the time I got to the hotel, the sun had begun to set in the bay, but in my life it felt like day break. Tem was on the veranda, overlooking the ocean, lost in his thoughts, mellow as a man would be on day one of a summer vacation in what we lovingly call Lotus land.
I felt like there was as much behind me as ahead of me and that was not a bad thing! To day 113.
